***********BEWARE Consumers!!!!!!***********************************************

    BEWARE CONSUMERS!!!!!

I wanted to warn customers of a company that has taken me for thousands of dollars, refused to negotiate any type of corrective action, and supplied me with defective equipment that leaves my staff at risk.  The company I speak of is Izy Technology which
also goes by the name Nuvicom.  The owner is Yamen Manfoud and has been the
person that I have spoken to throughout this ordeal.  I own a store that requires
security cameras and I hired Yamen to purchase and install these cameras and the monitoring computer that operates the video system.

My store opened on June 15, 2010 and the system still has yet to work properly.
In July, 13 cameras stopped working, by August 30 of the 59 cameras were inoperable.
At the end of August Nuvicom came out but left with 6 cameras not working.  Yamen said the cameras were defective and new cameras were ordered.  In September 32 cameras were not working.  They used sub-standard cabling and the controlling computer makes a continuous beeping sound.  There has been occasion that the entire system has crashed and has left my business unprotected.  I have contacted Yamen many times to correct these problems and he has done some minor temporary fixes but has not rectified the issues.  I paid in excess of $70,000 for this system that does not work.  I have called his business, spoke directly to his staff, been promised that he will return my call and after two weeks, has yet to do so.  If the safety of my staff were not at stake, I would not be as upset about this situation, but in the high security business I am in, I require the best for my clients.  I am now forced to take legal action because of this scam artist and I hope
that no one uses Izy Technology, Nuvicom or Yamen Manfoud.  I have detailed documentation as to the events that have transpired and pray that no one else falls
victim to this man.

Review for Nuvicom/Izy Technology

Do the stars really own their jewelry or do they just borrow pieces for events?

For the over 27 years that I have been in the jewelry business, there are two types of stars......
There are elegant and refined ladies like Anne Bancroft, Ann Miller and Debbie Reynolds,
Anne Bancroft
Debbie Reynolds
Ann Miller
who I had the wonderful pleasure to work with each......
and then there are other's, who I won't drag through the muck,
but never owned anything..... I remember a time when a popular singer/actress,
crawled out of her limo, I do mean crawled, actually found a piece that she loved,
and called her then husband.  She proceded to beg to buy a $3500 ring, pleading
"Oh please "Tony" (not his real name) can't I get this ring, please Tony"  and even though
she was the breadwinner of the family, he said no and she stumbled back to the car
empty-handed.  Poor thing, she had nothing, nothing but that dude.......

Another fabulous movie, a stunning woman and some HOT rocks!!!!!!!

Imitation of Life, starring Lana Turner and John Gavin, was another romantic epic.
This is a wonderful shot from the movie and the jewelry is perfect!

Happy Labor Day and to the labor of love.....

One of my favorite romantic movies is Meet Joe Black. The on-screen chemisty between Claire Forlani and Brad Pitt
is extraordinary, combined with the original score from
Thomas Newman,
makes this a modern day classic....

Welcome to The Jewelry Couturier Blog for the world through a jeweler's eye.

This is the first post for our new blog and we will be here to discuss the world of jewelry, styles, fashion, designers and maybe just our thoughts.  I will hopefully inform, challenge and make you, the reader, understand more about this industry and the people in it.  I will also tell stories of my experiences with celebrities, royality and just the average person.  I may have the occasional rant about things that effect my world and maybe even a joke or two.  The one thing I am trying to acheive by this blog is to incourage young people to taste the artistry, craftmanship and beauty of this industry.  I want to comment on the passion I feel and to encourage the people who came into this industry for the money, to leave.  If you don't know the wonderful feeling of seeing how happy a woman can be with the choice of an engagement ring, the challenge of a father teaching his son how to set a chronograph, or the pain when someone has to liquidate family heirlooms, you should not be in the jewelry business because you don't understand how to feel and know what the best parts of life are.  I look forward to your comments and concerns but remember this is about jewelry and watches and the life that they have given me.
